Why do I need special approvals to sell green coffee items?
To ensure that only high quality, credible and reliable suppliers for green coffee from countries of origin are doing business on SpecialtyCoffeeAuctions.com, all green coffee sellers are individually screened and agree to certain terms and conditions required to meet our stringent guidelines. Even so, all interested parties should start by reading Become a Seller of Green Coffee.
What are the up front fees for selling green coffee?
There are no required up front fees for listing green coffee for sale. Our primary purpose is to expand exposure for the widest variety of Specialty green coffees direct from origin growers. In addition, we will be promoting those coffees to buyers around the world at no cost to the seller.
We offer a couple of Optional Fees, including a "Bold Title" fee to help your listing stand out and a "Featured Item" option that will highlight your listing on several high traffic pages: Home page, Coffee Sales page and Category pages.
Can I make a change to an Item once it is listed?
Through your Member Account, you will be able to edit, modify or delete an item for sale. However, once a bid has been placed on an item at or above your reserve price, you will not be able to make edits or modifications. If a change is necessary, you may contact SCA who can make modifications on your behalf.
What if my item doesn't sell and I want to relist it?
We know that not all items will sell, but you will have had good exposure for your items on the site to a large market. If you are a coffee seller, you will be allowed to relist your item at no charge from your My Account page.
Even so, Equipment & Supplies sellers will need to pay the required listing fee to relist an item.If you had paid any optional fees, for example, a Featured Item listing, those fees are not refundable, as you already received the service provided.
Why do I have to pay a fee to list Equipment & Supplies Items?
We have included categories for equipment and supplies to help coffee roasters sell machinery that they have either outgrown or are now in need of upgrading. Charging a small listing fee helps to keep this exchange viable for serious sellers and quality merchandise.
